When we’re behind the decks, we feel like we’re channeling the spirits of Salia, Steddy Bongo, Emmerson, Famous, Fela Kuti, E.T. Mensah, Miriama Keba, Selia Cruz and all the African legends who paved the way for us to express ourselves through music. It’s not just about playing tracks – it’s about sharing our stories, our struggles, and our triumphs with each other.
We remember performing at a cultural festival of the Sierra Leone Central Union Holland in Amsterdam, where we got to spin some Afro-fusion beats that got the whole crowd moving. Seeing people from all walks of life come together, united by the rhythm and the beat, was pure magic.
